Examination Policy

CLASSES Nursery, LKG and UKG

In Pre-Primary classes, assessment is a continual process. The academic year is divided into two terms. The student’s performance is evaluated two times in a term on the basis of systematically designed worksheets, assignment sheets and academic and different co-curricular activities for specific learning outcomes. It is needed that student must be quite regular in completing class-work and home- work neatly and correctly.

CLASSES III – V

Weight age:

The session has two terms. First term shall have one round and second shall have two Periodic Assessments (Pas) and one Term exam (Half Yearly / Annual Exam). Both terms carry equal weight age.

The student will also be assessed on three-point scale in co-curricular activities which covers Physical Activities, Visual & Performing Arts (Drawing / Painting / Dance / Music) and Work Education.

CLASSES:  VI – X

Weight age:

The session has two terms. Each term shall have TWO rounds of Unit Tests (UTs) and one Term exam (Half Yearly / Annual Exam). Both terms carry equal weight age.

Policies for Rescheduling an Exam :

GENERAL  

Oral Exams will neither be pre-poned nor postponed for any reason. Written Exams will not be re – conducted for any reason.

ABSENCE DUE TO – PARTICIPATION IN SCHOOL SPORTS CONDUCTED BY THE DISTRICT / STATE

In principle, no re – exam will be conducted. In special cases, the decision may be taken by the Principal.

ABSENCE DUE TO MEDICAL REASONS (CONTAGIOUS DISEASES)  

No re – exam.

CLASSES I to VII – If the child is absent in both the terms then promotion to next class will be considered on performance in Class Test or Unit Test.

ABSENCE DUE TO AN ACCIDENT / FRACTURE

CLASSES I to VII – No re – exam.

Amanuensis (Writer) can be provided if prior application is submitted and should be arranged by the candidate.

ABSENCE DUE TO – DEATH IN FAMILY

No exams will be conducted but based on Class Test & Unit Test marks, Result may be considered.

ABSENCE DUE TO – FUNCTION / MARRIAGE (SANCTIONED)

No exams will be conducted but based on Class Test & Unit Test marks, Result may be declared.

Note –

All such considerations are subject to necessary documents being submitted on time. Decision of the Principal will be final & binding.
